Obituary

Mona Lee Bubbenmoyer, 82, of Temple, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2021 at the Highlands of Wyomissing.  She had resided at Keystone Villa, Fleetwood from October 2019 to August 2021.

She was the wife of the late Glenn L. Bubbenmoyer, who passed away on September 28, 2019.  Glenn and Mona were married on February 21, 1959 and had shared 60 years of marriage.

Mona was born on May 11, 1939 in Reading, PA and was the daughter of the late Howard and Margery (Kern) Heffner. She graduated from Muhlenberg High School in 1957. She worked as a switchboard operator for Pomeroy's in Reading and Lee Heffner Ford in Hamburg. She had also been a school bus driver for Lee Heffner Ford for the Muhlenberg School District.

Mona loved to go on bus trips, play bingo, and spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Throughout her life, she enjoyed babysitting for family and friends whenever needed.

Mona is survived by her two sons:  Jeffrey S. Bubbenmoyer and his wife Jeanette, of Mohnton; and Scott A. Bubbenmoyer and his fiance Mary Beth Huff, of Pikeville.

Also surviving are her grandchildren:  Joel Bubbenmoyer, husband of Michelle; Katie Calm, wife of Alex; Kara Reed, wife of Ben; and Zachary Bubbenmoyer.  She is survived by 5 great-grandchildren: Thomas, Elizabeth, and Phillip Calm; and Wyatt and Avery Reed.

Mona is also survived by her step-grandchildren: Laura Naugle, wife of Brad; and Lisa Nuss; as well as two step-great-grandchildren: Abrielle and Benjamin Naugle.
Her sister Nina, wife of John Haggerty III, of Sinking Spring; and brother Jackson, husband of Sharon, of Shillington, also survive.

The family would especially like to thank the wonderful and caring staff and residents at Keystone Villa for helping Mona feel welcomed and at home while she resided there.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 10th  from 6:30 to -8:30 P.M. in the Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, PA 19605.

A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
