June M. Braun, 93, of Muhlenberg Township, went to join her heavenly family, on May 30, 2021, after a short stay at Rittenhouse Village at Muhlenberg.
Born, August 17, 1927, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Walter T. and Mildred A. (Holl) Montz.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Paul Edward Braun, Sr., and by her two sons, Paul Edward Braun, Jr. in March 2010, and Richard Walter Braun in October 2009.
June was a 1945 graduate of Reading High School.
She retired from Rieck’s Printing in 1989.
June found great joy with her family and helping others. She was a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital since 1996. She also enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos, and taking day trips.
She was an active member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Hyde Park.
Surviving is her daughter-in-law, Susan C. (Neujahr) Braun, and her three granddaughters, Emma, Abigail, and Molly of Aurora, CO.
Also surviving is her brother-in-law, Robert, husband of Carol Rank of Reno, NV, and her sister-in-law, Mary Jane, wife of Robert Robinette of Reno, NV.
Other survivors include many nieces and nephews. She especially wants to express her appreciation to her nephew, Harry Braun, Jr., and his significant other, Donna Swoyer; and to her niece, Patricia (Valore) Wilson, as well as to her friends and neighbors for always being there for her.
June was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane, widower of John Dunkleberger; and by her brothers-in-law, Harry Braun, Sr., widower of Margaret; Leo Braun, widower of Doris Braun, and Richard, husband of Gail Braun of Hamburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 11th at 11 a.m. at Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Entombment will follow the mass in Gethsemane Cemetery.
