Claudette C. Pannabecker, age 85, passed away peacefully December 28,
2020 from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. She was born in
Reading on February 22,1936 and was a proud lifelong resident of Berks
County. Claudette was a 1958 graduate of Reading Evening High School
where she attended while cleaning homes to support her family. After
meeting and marrying Gerald “Penny” Pannabecker, she then did
bookkeeping for the family business throughout the years.
Claudette as a youth enjoyed being active playing volleyball in
highschool and as an adult in community leagues. She enjoyed quilting
and was an avid RV cross country traveler. She and her husband Penny
traveled to all 50 states and to over 13 foreign countries.
Surviving are her three children: Wayne D., husband of Daniel Mitrano
of Brooklyn, NY; Diane D. (Pannabecker), wife of Andrew S. Horning of
Bern Township; and Holly A. (Pannabecker), wife of Charles A. Sikora,
III of Erial, NJ.
Other survivors include her grandchildren: Amy, Chad, Jed (Lilyana),
Anthony, and Perry; and her great grandchildren, Chase, Anton, Jax,
Chad Jr., Jake and Allie.
Claudette was preceded in death by a son, Gerald K. Pannabecker, Jr.;
a brother, Chester C. Strickler; and two sisters, Constance C. Kline
and Carolee Dugan.
A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Forest Hills
Memorial Park, 291 W. Neversink Road, Exeter Township.
