Brent A. Hoover, also known as Butch, 56, of Exeter Township, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, March 15, 2021.
Born in West Reading, he is the son of Brent M. Hoover and Betty Ann Schaeffer. Brent is survived by his siblings Terri (Hoover) Fantasia, Keith Hoover, Phil Hoover and Tara (Hoover) Martin. He is also survived by his three children, Olivia, McKinley (Mick), and Shane Hoover and their mother Vicki (Croft) Hoover.
Brent graduated from Oley Valley High School in 1983 and from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, Marketing, and Speech in 1989. Brent worked at the Reading Eagle in the Advertising Department for 11 years before starting his career in real estate with Century 21 Park Road, then United Real Estate Strive 212. He was a handy-man and liked to rehab properties as well.
Since he was young, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, metal-detecting, and arrowhead hunting. However, his greatest joys in life came from spending time with his children, nieces and nephews, and his dog Adina. Together, Brent and his family have traveled from Seattle to Key West in the US, and to Europe with his children where they explored life in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and Morocco. Brent made friends easily and random encounters often led to hours of conversation everywhere he went. He exuberated positivity and loud laughter, and relished in all of the "little things" that life had to offer.
A visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at the Stitzel Funeral Home, 423 Main Street, Oley. A graveside service will be held at 12 PM at the Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Road, Fleetwood.
