Bradley C. Fretz, 27, of Oley, passed away July 25, 2019, after sudden illness, at Tower Health – Reading Hospital, West Reading.
Born May 26, 1992 in Reading, he was a son of Marie A. (Reitz), wife of Todd C. Moser of Oley and the late Larry D. Fretz, Jr.
Bradley was a 2010 graduate of Oley Valley High School and attended BCTC where he studied in the electrical program.
Following high school, he was employed within the trades industries, including landscaping, plumbing supplies and electrical.
He participated in the FFA, which included community projects and competitions, in which he placed within the top three at varying levels.
Brad played sports through the Oley Valley Youth League and through middle school. Also, as a youth, he was a member of the Amity AC swim team and Boyertown YMCA swim team.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting; all kinds of music – country, rap, heavy metal, 70’s/80’s rock, and more.
Brad will be remembered for his kind heart and sweet smile. He was loved by so many family and friends who will hold those memories close forever.
Surviving, in addition to his mother and stepfather, is his brother, Ryan J. Fretz of Oley; his stepbrother, Benjamin T., husband of Aubrey A. Moser of Myerstown, and their daughter, Olivia M. Moser.
In addition, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Christine (Turner) Reitz of Kenhorst; his paternal grandfather, Larry D. Fretz, Sr. of Earl Township and his step grandparents, Charlie and Shirley (Heim) Moser of Brecknock Township.
Other survivors include his aunt, Jill (Fretz), wife of Eric Hafer of Earl Township; his uncle, David Fretz of Earl Township; and his cousins, Taylor Cisik, Stephen Cisik, Kaitlyn Hafer, Rachel Hafer, and Andrew Hafer and many extended family members.
Bradley was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Margaret (Taylor) Fretz, and by two uncles, Timothy Fretz and Richard, husband of Stephanie Reitz of Audubon.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley. A visitation will be held from 5:30-7 p.m.
