Mary Alloway Bieber, 77, of Oley, died February 1, 2018 at ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.
She was the wife of Dallas Edward Bieber, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.
Born January 26, 1941 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Henry and Violet Mae (Hainly) Alloway.
Mary was a 1958 graduate of Mt. Penn High School and a graduate of McCann Business School.
She was employed as secretary and assistant to the Dean with Penn State University, Berks Campus for 18 years, retiring in 2001.
Mary regularly attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Nauvoo, PA with her friends.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed.
Mary enjoyed gardening, trips to the shore with her grandchildren, walking on Main Street in Oley, spending time at her mountain house in Tioga County and loved anything that had to do with Penn State. In her younger years, Mary was a competitive archer.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her two sons: Thomas E., husband of Paula K. Bieber of Manheim and Timothy A., husband of Deborah L. Bieber of York.
Also surviving is her twin sister, Dolores A., wife of Kenneth W. Lorah of Reiffton.
There are four grandchildren: Julie, Amanda, Eric and Alison.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 17th at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
